Regulations

Dear campers, welcome to Kastraki Camping. We would like to point out the rules and regulations regarding Kastraki Camping Grounds, so as to ensure your stay is pleasant, safe and unforgettable.

It is hereby agreed that entry and/residence to Kastraki Camping by each camper and/or visitor, constitutes and unconditional acceptance and agreement to all of the terms and conditions specified in Kastraki Camping’s Regulations.

Arrival – Accommodation – Departure

Upon your arrival, you must first check in with Reception (09:00 – 00:00) and show your ID and/or passport so as to confirm your details, and then allow you to enter the Camping grounds.

You may be asked to hand over your ID and/or passport, which will remain securely with management, until the time of your check out.

You then receive the necessary documents (camping media sticker), which you will display so as to be visible by all Camping staff, as well as ensure that the media sticker is returned to Reception upon your check out.

Your camping spots are assigned by the reception staff, according to availability. You may request a change of position, however, this must be first approved by the reception staff

Kastraki Camping reserves the right to request a change in position regarding an camping vehicles if there is a specific reason.

Any changes regarding the number of campers, tents, means of transport and electricity must be reported immediately to the reception.

No persons under the age of 18 are allowed at Kastraki Camping without adult supervision.

Campers’ cars parked inside the Camping area must not occupy any other space than their own, and/or be within the designated car parking areas.

Campers with boat/canoe/kayak trailers are informed by the Reception to park them in designated trailer parking areas.

Any damages caused by the fault of other campers and/or of their guests, regarding the following, and not limited to: any of the camping facilities, devices, other campers properties and generally throughout the camping area, are solely the responsibility of those campers/guests.

Campers are responsible for the cleanliness of their space.

Check out takes place each day, no later than 14:00. Any check outs occurring after 14:00 until 18:00, will be charged an additional 50% (half day) fee. In case of a check out occurring after 18:00, a fee of 100% (the daily fee) will be added to the customers final bill.

Check out from Kastraki Camping’s rental caravans take place strictly until 10:00.

Cars/Motorbikes & Gate Hours

The main gate is open for vehicles from 08:00 to 24:00. After midnight, for the security of our guests as well as the courtesy of silence after hours, cars are not allowed to enter the campsites. Campers can only enter on foot through the door next to the main gate which is open 24 hours a day. Cars can be parked strictly in the area behind Reception.

The speed limit throughout the camping grounds is prohibited to be greater than 5 km/hr.

Driving aimlessly within the camping grounds is strictly prohibited, especially during the night (24:00-08:00). Acceptance is given only upon arrival, departure to reception and to park.

Parking of cars is allowed within the limits of camping pitches if the vehicle fits, and in the designated parking areas.

Quiet Hours

Common quiet hours are set from 15:00 to 17:00 and from 24:00 to 08:00. During these hours of common quiet, it is forbidden to make any kind of disruptive noise, such as loud conversations, music, celebrations as well as the movement of any vehicle

During the rest of the hours throughout the day, music and daily common noises are to be kept a low volume level as a common courtesy so as to not disturb neighbouring campers.

Placing or removing camping gear is recommended to be avoided during quiet hours. If for strong reasons this is not possible (i.e. check out), we strongly request the movement be conducted with great respect and common courtesy regarding those around you during quiet time.

Visitors

Visitors are allowed in the camping grounds, as long as they inform reception upon entrance, and show their ID and/or passport.

Visitors can stay within the camping grounds free of charge, for 2 hours. If visitors choose to stay for more than two hours, they are charged a fee in accordance to the price of the daily charge per person and means of transportion.

Guests must park their cars in the designated guest parking area.

Under no circumstances are guests allowed to park within a camping pitch.

Visitors are not allowed after 22:00.

Bonfire & Barbeque

The options to light a bonfire and/or a barbeque are governed by the regulations of the local Fire Department and are strictly prohibited throughout the camping grounds, as well as on the beach (Fire Department order No. 9, Regulation regulating measures to prevent and deal with fires in forest and rural areas).

When the need to cook arises, all campers have access to a specially designed kitchen common area, where Kastraki Camping offers guests the space and electrical asses to cook with their own devices.

It is strictly forbidden to throw cigarette butts on the ground. The slightest slip in carelessness can cause enormous damage.

The owners of the caravans must disconnect them from the electricity network during their absence. Otherwise, in the event of a fire, they are solely responsible for any damages.

Use of Electricity

The power supply is exclusively for the use of lighting, radios, TV, refrigerators, and similar small electronics. The use of portable air conditioners is prohibited as they can short circuit the power source.  Electric cooking products such as, but not limited to, coffee machines, microwave, portable ovens, hotplates) is prohibited anywhere except the designated shared kitchen area. Maximum allowed usage is 1500W.

Kastraki Camping uses anti-electric shock relays in all power outlets present throughout the camping grounds. The energy of the power supply is 340- 380 Volt.

Power extension cords should be extremely durable, weather resistant and made of sturdy black rubber, not just any kind of basic extension cord will do, as this could be extremely hazardous.

Make sure you are equipped with your own power strips and cables, suitable for outdoor conditions.

The responsibility for the proper use of electrical accessories lies solely on the camper.

Tampering with the fuses of the electrical panels is strictly prohibited.

Responsibility for ιntervening to the electrical power panels is strictly prohibited. Usage of electric ovens or appliances with resistor that exceed the above watt limits and may cause damage, are also prohibited.

Water Fountain

The water fountain should be used exclusively for collecting water and should not be loaded with any kind of chemical substances (i.e. laundry detergents, dirty liquid of any kind, non-water liquids, etc.).

Shared Facilities – Cleaning – Garbage

Keep all areas of the camping grounds clean.

Please respect the environment by throwing your trash in the designated trash bins that are located throughout the camping grounds.

Campers are responsible for collecting their waste from the sinks as well as the counter space areas used within the kitchen facilities. The disposing of this waste must be placed in the designated bins located just outside the kitchen facilities.

Do not leave exposed food scraps, garbage or animal feed outside, as this easily attract insects and other rodents.

Shared Refrigerators – Freezers

All food must be placed in large bags and write a name and camping location on the outside of the bag. If needed, guests can purchase large bags at the Mini Market for a small fee, as well as a permanent marker.

Please be respectful of other campers’ products and only remove your own food from the refrigerator.

Please do not take up excessive amounts of space as it is a shared space. Note that, 6 packs of bottled water and/or whole watermelons are strictly not allowed. Their removal will be done without warning by the camping management.

You may not use the refrigerators and freezers to place raw seafood products.

Bar

The tables available within the bar area are strictly for bar customers, they can be used to consume products purchased at the bar, or the Mini Market, with the presentation, if requested, proof of product purchase.

The bar tables cannot be used for the consumption of personal or outside purchased products.

Backgammon is not allowed.

The access to the tables with in the bar area, are accessible only during the hour operations of the bar itself.

Pets

Pets are welcome at Kastraki Camping. As much as we love our four-legged friends, we also respect those who do not feel comfortable with animals, i.e. phobias or allergies.

Pets are allowed within the camping grounds as long as all the regulations of the Greek legislation are met by their owner, according to Law 4039, article 5 (Government Gazette 15/2-2-2012).

More specifically, pets may enter the camping area if they have a booklet of health from their veterinarian, of which a detailed history of their required vaccinations can be provided for by law.

Animals must be on a leash/lead at all times and accompanied by their owner. They are not allowed to stay alone within the campsite without the supervision of their owner(s).

Their regular daily walk must be conducted outside Kastraki Camping grounds, for sanitation regulations. In the event that a pet relieves themselves within the camping grounds, the waste must be collected immediately. Please note this also includes urination anywhere within the camping grounds.

When feeding your pet please ensure to not leave pet food or pet bowls exposed as they attract insects and rodents. Seal your pet’s food safely and clean their utensils once fed.

Pets are allowed the public beach, as well as within sea, in accordance with Law 4830 “New framework for the well-being of companion animals – Program “ARGOS” and other provisions” (Government Gazette 169/18-9-2021) .

Pets are strictly not allowed in Kastraki Camping caravan rentals. They are only permitted to stay if they are in their special transport cage outside the caravan.

Management holds the right and will be forced to remove the owners of pets that cause a disturbance with constant barking and/or do not comply with the above conditions and regulations.

Plants – Watering

Please respect trees and surrounding plant life.

Guests are not allowed to water any of the plant life within the camping grounds, as well as, not disposing of dirty water or wastewater anywhere other than the designated waste areas.

All guests must accept without complaint, the watering schedule of the lawns, as well as the plants present throughout the camping grounds. Be sure to not leave your things in places that may get wet during watering.

The collecting of fruit from any of the trees or plants throughout the camping grounds is strictly forbidden.

Pruning of any plant life within the camping grounds is not allowed.

Rental caravans

No smoking is allowed inside the rental accommodations.

It is forbidden to wash dishes in the sink or wash basin of the caravan.

Do not throw toilet paper in the toilet.

Pets of any size or breed are not allowed inside the caravans.

In case of damage by the guests to the accommodation or its equipment, the guest will bear the cost of the replacement and maintenance required.

Operation of air conditioners with open windows is not allowed.

Constructions – Interventions in the Camp

Any construction, additions, or interferences that alters the current image of the camping grounds, as well as any of the rental accommodations, is strictly prohibited. For example: the construction of a roof, fence, warehouse/storage, barbecue, sunshades, etc., regardless of construction materials, is strictly forbidden.

It is also forbidden to remove the wheels from caravans and to support tents with anything other than the approved means of support for that product.

In the event that any of the alterations and interferences mentioned above are found and the camper does not comply with the management’s instructions, the administration has the right to request the camper’s immediate departure.

General Regulations

All guest are obligated to follow all directives given by Kastraki Camping Administration. Campers must obey these instructions, as well as information and road signs placed throughout the camping grounds. Campers must comply with the specifications of the present regulations.

All terms and conditions of the present regulations are essential and may only be amended in written form by management. A breach of any term herof, directive or instructional shall be regarded as reason for termination of any relationship between the parties involves and provides the establishment with the right to immediately expel the violator from the premises.

It is hereby agreed that entry and/residence to Kastraki Camping by each camper and/or visitor, constitutes and unconditional acceptance and agreement to all of the terms and conditions specified in Kastraki Campings Regulations.

It is forbidden to interfere with network facilities, i.e. water supply, irrigation, etc.

Weapons and/or explosives of any kind, air guns and any kind of launchers/pyrotechnics are strictly prohibited.

Kastraki Campings communal taps serve for washing clothes, dishes and personal hygiene according to the respective common areas.

Chemical toilets are emptied in a specially designated area. It is forbidden to empty them anywhere else including, but not limited to, the public toilets.

Paddle rackets are prohibited within the camping area.

Kastraki Camping has an obligation to maintain the pitches and communal facilities however not to supervise them, please be respectful.

It is forbidden to tie a hammock/swing to any of the thin trees and/or lamp posts throughout the camping grounds. Management holds the right, without question, to request the removal of anything tied in an inappropriate manner.

Parents are fully responsible for their children’s compliance and safety. Throughout the duration of your stay at Kastraki Camping, adolescents and young children must accompany and supervise by an adult at all times.

The climbing of trees throughout the camping grounds is strictly prohibited, regardless of ones age.

The use of a drone is severely prohibited. Their dormancy is defined by the relevant legislation and under no circumstances is allowed over people.

Kastraki Camping uses security cameras to safeguard its building structure and plant life throughout the property.

Campers are required to keep track of all their belongings of any value. Kastraki Camping is not responsible in cases of partial or total loss, damage or destruction guests property.

Kastraki Camping does not provide a storage service for personal items.

Kastraki Camping bears no responsibility in the event of disasters due to weather and/or any other natural phenomena or terrorist attack.

Reservations – Advance Payments – Cancellation Policy

A booking request is as it states, just a request. Management will comply when applicable, however they are in no way required to.

After confirmation of pitch availability, guests will be given a bank account number so as to deposit the required downpayment fee. Guests are required to then send evidence of the completed downpayment via email.

Guests reservations are only valid after the deposit of 1/3 of the total stay or an amount agreed upon with the management. Guests are responsible for all bank fees.

Pitch reservations for the period of August 10th to August 20th, will only be confirmed once a 50% downpayment of the total stay has been completed.

A reservation is required for more than a 7 day stay.

Reservations for specific pitches is not an available option.

Kastraki Camping cannot guarantee that customers who wish to extend their stay will remain in the same pitch location, despite all efforts.

In the case of a cancellation of your reservation, a downpayment is fully refunded only when the cancellation is done 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. Please note, guests bear all possible bank charges.

If a cancellation of your reservation in less than 30 days from your arrival date, guests will be charged 50% of the downpayment amount, If a cancellation occurs in less than 10 days from the arrival date, the downpayment is non-refundable.

In the event of a reduction in the number of days previously stated for your reservation, guests will be charged 50% of the remaining amount for the period you declared. Guests must inform reception at least 2 days in advance. Otherwise, guests will be charged the full amount of days  agreed upon in the initial reservation.

The reduction in the number of nights is free of charge up to 30 days before arrival. If not, the cancellation policy applies for the number of days cancelled.

In the case of a no-show, and without written notification, the pitch allotted for a reservation becomes available the following day for the use of other guests.

Management has the right to add or modify the regulations of Kastraki Camping, depending on the needs that arise or any legislative changes.

All campers must faithfully follow the instructions of the administration and that of the camping staff. Please obey the instructions signage posted throughout the camping grounds and comply with these regulations. Any violation of the above regulations constitutes grounds for termination of the relationship between the parties and gives the establishment the right to request the immediate removal of the violators.
